The game is not out yet, so there is no way to know for sure. But in the demo there are some tutorial quests which are hinted to be in the full game.

I like where Monster Hunter is heading, most monsters now will have a different gameplay the moment they're in rage mode, unlike the first and second generation that only increases monster's the speed and damage in rage mode.

@cool man plus people aren't taking into account the power difference between light and heavy attacks. Another point is also the fact that mounted punishers knock down monsters and a good way to get hits in at the start of a fight.

I’m not sure if you checked the actual gameplay, but the actual mounted attacks do like 83 damage. And this is (I’m assuming) inside low rank(even if the user has a high rank weapon), so 83 damage is a lot.

@Mm mm That’s the threat level and threat level doesn’t determine a monster’s power level. It represents a monster’s aggressiveness (and more specifically how likely it is that a dung bomb will work on it.). For example, Basarios has a lower threat level than Volvidon despite the former most likely being the superior monster.

Gonna be honest, this new savage axe looks flashy but i really dont see it being good. There is way too much prep work for its use. Requiring to re-activate it for any transition into sword mode hurts it the most and its effect to charge phials just incentives you to AED and disable the mode. That just entirely makes it more worth to use sword to charge phials in like 3 hits and then SAED. To get a few extra ticks of damage when you could probably SAED twice is just bad. I hate that this is how its looking so far, Savage Axe is my favorite playstyle :/

When I played the demo and we didn't have access to Savage Axe, I was worried I'd have to give up my main from MHW. So glad to see it come back with a new twist even! It looks sick and I can't wait for these skills!

There are quest that only can play singele and there are quest wich works both single and online ( the online quests scales with the player number )

Well the bobsliding is down in favour for some good ol swiping and claw attacks and an icy breath attack. I don’t think lagombi is similar in anything but body shape
