Best guide on wyvern riding for this game. Thank you for displaying the button presses and explaining it step by step in an easy to comprehend way. I finally got the hang of it and I'm having a blast!

Am I doing something wrong? The monster I'm mounting seems to always trip (ending the mount) if there are no enemies around even if the timer is full. So I can't run them to another location. Is this intentional or am I missing some button presses?

This takes beat a mother ducker with another ducker to a new level!

Same, i rly rly like this game but this mechanic gets forced upon the player way too hard imo. I can't count the times i just wanted to get in a true charge, just to end up on the monster instead. Plus monsters just fighting in the same area is just not a thing anymore because of it, they'll seek out each other, one will immediately go into "ride me" position ( which lasts forever btw ) and after that the monsters will just completely avoid each other. And if the target monster ends up being mounted, everyone else can p much just stand around bc that monster will take p much no damage during the mount. And then there's the kind of people that are just running off to get more monsters all hunt long contributing nothing else. Sry for venting in your replies.

I didn't realize they gave the player character an actual voice in this game. I'm not sure how to feel about it. Kind of sounds like Sean Schemmel.

you can turn that off in the options which i did right away :' ) you can turn it off for other players as well.

They should really make Monster Hunter game, when your not a Hunter, your a Rider. Like monster Hunter stories but an online version where you can fight against other monsters, or other players and there monsters. With each Monster having supers ad combo moves like mortal kombat or injustice.

I still don't get it...

how does this exactly work with bow im using the silkbind skill herculean shot but haven't been able to get a monster in the mountable state

i love how this encoureges looking for other monsters instead of ingoring them.

I have some trouble with the controls while Beast Riding. It would be nice if the Mounted Monster could actually turn or face a direction but remain stationary. I want to face a certain direction and attack without having to move. For instance, the Monster i am hunting is just right next to my Mount, but i would have to run around to get the angle right? Or perhaps i missed out on how to properly control my Mount?

So does no one remember that you could ride monsters in Monster Hunter Stories?

In the demo normal mounting don't exist. They probably removed it because mounting would be way too easy with the wirebugs.

Can regular damage put them in a mountable state?

There’s no such thing as cheating if you’re using the game’s intended mechanics. And hunters rarely fight for “honor” or anything like that. It’s for survival and the safety of other people. If you made a living by culling potentially nation-threatening monsters, wouldn’t you pull out all the stops too?

Why nobody talks about the different heavy and light attacks?

I asssume riding monster will not worth for DPS(Esp. team play)..took so much time for riding the monster almost 15 seconds to take down monster...for the game mechanic,, yes ..it is new and exciting to see somthing like that...but when the full game release , I fear those of casual or NEW player keep riding it ..and waste much time control it more than do team DPS on ground.

eh.... I'm really not sure how I feel about this. everyone in multiplayer is just gonna latch on to a monster and gain personal invincibility, I don't really like that it takes the focus off weapons and mixed armor sets. after all if you can just mount a monster and make it fight for you then weapons and builds become pretty irrelevant. I'm not really excited about this feature myself.

Riding monsters like this looks so rapey. Edit: Right after watching this I found the video for Monster Hunter Stories 2. :D Never mind me, that's the game made for my kind of people.

PLEASE port older the games (specifically Freedom, Freedom Unite, 3 Ultimate, and 4 Ultimate) to the Switch/pc/modern platforms? With the popularity of the series now there are so many newer fans who want to go back to those classic games and experience the history of the franchise! Unfortunately, the more time that passes by the harder it is for people to access to beloved titles. There is an audience for those old titles and we want to support you guys!

Why not make this something that can make a monster you permanent thing to have a pet after rider one individual monster it get use to you riding it and become domesticated like a symbiotic relationship like you hunt the monsters helps you both get food and the monster comes strong and get more and more comfortable with being ridden then after ten times your monster will if you whistle for it it will make its way towards you and Len down to allow you to ride it and after t in game mother 20 real world days your monster will find you when you enter any part of the world and let you mount it and in like monster hunter riders kind of symbiotic relationship is that a good idea capcom please say something I think this mechanic mite cache on

The basic idea, at least as I understand it, is that wyverns in MH world are like dinosaurs, they've evolved into their own species.
