@Drip Lord yeah man for a long time people would boot hammer players from quests and arenas. Towards the end with iceborne it wasn’t so bad but base game world hammer got a lot of hate

@Adi Jain thank you. It turns out I need to hit a monster with that overhead smash after the spin attack, otherwise it doesn’t follow-up with the blue hammer’s level 3.

If u hold ZR and press A, ur hammer mode switches. There r 2 modes. Blue and golden. U can see this as a hammer symbol under ur stamina. In one of the 2 modes (dont remember which) if u hold ZR until the max charge (third charge) and then let go of ZR while pushing forward, ull do the spinning bonk! U can interrupt this spinning bonk at any time by pressing X. Depending on when u press X u end ur spin with a different attack

@Sunbro Solaire seems my second speculation was right then thx for clarifying my dude cause I saw the same thing for a weapon that looked like the switch axe in blade form doin an upward wirebug attack with a thrusting finish

@Ravioli-Senpai For the same reason that lance doesn’t have the triple charge attack that was shown or the Insect Glaive doesn’t have the Descending Thrust attack. It seems like at least some of the weapons have a third Wirebug attack hidden in the full game.

@Sunbro Solaire yo go to the announcement trailer for mhr and watch 1:55 you'll see that they subtly put in the 15th weapon type if you played the demo and used all the weapons you'll see why I say it's the 15th weapon

The Hammer has always been a weird one. Mobile, heavy, and strong. The new upgrades allow it to do moves that could not always be done in World at roughly any time, making the Hammer more versatile.

@BotanicSage [BS] Idk about KO, but I always got the impression that Anjanath gets up sooner than most monsters after a wallbang or other event that makes ot fall over

KO lasts the same amount of time regardless of tolerance, so Anjanath will stay down a full 10 seconds if you stun it with hammer. It doesn't decay like other status effects like paralysis or poison.

Anjanath stays down the full ten seconds after getting knocked out, so hammer is actually not bad against it.

....it's literally just Monster Hunter World... for switch?

...... It’s literally completely different...... for Switch. Sharing some monsters and mechanics doesn’t make the game the same.

The wirebug seems to make all weapons really great to use. But would this be called "casual friendly" i mean mhw was called "casual friendly" for all the mechanics it had. Or is this just lore for the hunters tools evolving better and better?

Ok ok, no new moves to the hammer is see. But I do like how they made my favorite moves that much easier to do. No need to slide down a hill to do the spinning hammer attack, and no need to jump off the ledge to hammer the ground from air to land.
