using a wirebug to launch an attack into a monster is so satisfying
I haven’t played MH since X. Now I’m asking myself why I thought Aerial style was so impressive.
I love this video so much... thank you
Whats the move where you consume both wire bugs and you attach it to your arm? what does that do?
Sunbro Solaire
Hace 4 días
What move is that? I don’t remember that.
This help me a lot thank you 🙏🏼
Thanks♥️
So if I want to keep climbing, when my hunter jumps off I just hold A in order to dangle from the bug, then ZL + X again?
The demo was really hard on a Switch Lite. Playing it on my tv with my old Switch is much better. The Wirebug techniques are still somewhat impossible, but not as difficult.
how do you hang on in the air with the bug? i tried pressing A and it doesnt work

doesn't seem to work on the demo so hopefully the full game allows you to do that
This is impossible on the switch. Cant get past the tutorial level.
I wonder what the benefit of the Insect Glaive will be now since you'll be able to launch into the air using any weapon and get easy mount/evades
2:30 "Pressing ZL and X will keep you airborne and allow you to travel in the direction your hunter is facing" * hunter zips in the opposite direction they were facing *
So many buttons, but when it clicked, it really works.
As soon as this game comes out, there's going to be a pro with complete mastery of wirebug movement.
lol this is why im most excited for rise, my issue with monster hunter vs other hunting like games is mobility and here you move so fluidly its so cool to watch you travel down
Ahh the silkwire the main reason to by the game other that it being an MH switch game
Looks stupid. May as well let you fly around

If you’ve actually played the demo for the game, you’d know it’s not that simple.
So... this is Attack on Monster?
My dream come true is to become an spider man in monster Hunter
But how do you spiderman
Hello, Capcom! The game is wonderful. I'm totally addicted
That stamina drain on walls is way to high! Try making this feature useful and not a gimmicky waste.

What the comment above me is saying, you can scale quite a bit with higher stamina and doing the suspend in mid air move and sling back onto the wall with another wire bug
Sunbro Solaire
Hace 2 meses
Oh it’s useful alright. If you combine the Wirebug with wall-running and the ability to hang in midair, you can go pretty damn far and essentially scale entire mountains!
Thanks sir!
Hey guys how do i attack in the game? I just keep drinking potions
Sunbro Solaire
Hace 2 meses
Quit pressing a single button. Just be like me and mash your ass off until you find out how to attack.
He didn’t use the spirit slash as the longsword example
The mobility of Rise is really fun.
Does this mean i dont need to use insect glaive to be the king of mounting :o
This literally cant come out soon enough
Huh. So I guess this effectively replaces the slinger from World and Iceborne? It rather feels like using Wedge Beetles, just more freely. In one of the earliest trailers for Rise, I believe I saw the Hunter having to collect Wirebugs out in the field. Is this still going to apply? Additionally, I'm presuming that there may be skills that affect how many Wirebugs you can carry at a time, or other stats related to them?
Alan Vasquez
Hace 2 meses
Yes you can grab one more on the field that will leave you after a while
Umm.. can't you just dodge everything like that?
Sunbro Solaire
Hace 3 meses
Umm.. You can’t just dodge everything like that. It isn’t that simple. The cooldown for every Wirebug-based action is greatly increased during battle, so you can’t just spam it left and right. Wiredashes also don’t have any I-frames to them. Not to mention a lot of monsters have big, technical hitboxes on their attacks. You should play the demo for the game, if you can.
I love monster hunter but it’s complex as is with all the the item switching and gears and all. I feel like this is too much for my old brain. I almost pre ordered, but I will need to watch this a few more times to make up my mind. :(

Same :(
I had no ideas these command were a thing. I been using the Wirebug manually with ZL+ZR like a moron all day.
Sunbro Solaire
Hace 3 meses
I was doing that too, lmao. But i’m pretty sure the ZR input covers more distance.
Shame it isn't on more powerful hardware it looks like a ps2 games

Bruh what ps2 games have you been playing
These videos were actually a really good idea! They helped me so much when I tried the demo today and now I'm hooked.
Been playing the series for a long time (since PSP days) and I'm not liking the changes I'm seeing so far. I know there are plenty of weebs and "veterans" alike who love this (enough to just read the comments to see that), but me and my missis are not those people. This just looks like it completely throws the weapon balance out the window and is the usual gimmick of the series (every title has its own gimmick, be it the felyne comrade, water levels, mounting, clutch claw, etc), but worse, because it's done for the sake of having a gimmick. No longer is a greatsword a slow, calculated weapon type with limited mobility and high damage, for example - the bloody thing is now almost as mobile as the rest of the weapons - you can just zip around on the wirebug! Again, this is something most people will enjoy, but I really wish it was not there. On top of that - even more weeb flashiness everywhere. My longsword dances don't need to flash around and leave slashes in mid-air, thank you very much. And the whole flying, wallrunning, etc - I'm not a weeb and did not ask for this. Nor does it add anything to the gameplay. It just seems like I'll need to keep adjusting the camera to do things I don't need done in the first place. For example, in MHGU (or any older MH that I'd emulate, rather than play on OG hardware like I used to) I'd set the camera left and right to ZL/ZR - that way I can RUN, AIM the camera and ATTACK *all at the same time*. I never needed to use the "target cam" (on the PSP we used to do "the claw" grip and on the 3Ds XL I have the official circle pad add-ons for comfort, including the japanese MHX import). For obvious reasons, target cam is also not needed for PC in World/Iceborne - we have a mouse for that (what HEAVEN!!!). Rise...will now force me to use the target cam, because I will no longer be able to rotate the camera manually while running around and attacking. This sucks. Don't get me wrong - I love the series to bits. But it's BECAUSE I've been playing for a loooong time that I'm not liking some changes that I feel are throwing the core of MH weapon balance and control out the window.

.... Just go play MH World, bro. We don’t need your life story.

If you actually played the demo you'd see that the wirebug is not as spammable as you'd think
this is actually a really good tutorial 👍
"Is going to be really hard to beat how much fun the slinger and the clutch claw are to use" Capcom while gluing a bunch of rope to some mosquito: *BET*
Great. They kept the worst part of World and made it worse somehow.
Sunbro Solaire
Hace 3 meses
Aside from assisting in attacks, the Wirebug and the Clutch Claw have absolutely no similarities at all in terms of functions. Plus, at least the Wirebug is actually balanced since you can do just fine without it.
I’ve been interested in the monster hunter series for years I’m planning on getting this game
Don't like it at all

What? Is it too modern for you, old man?
really can't think of a username right now sorry

Why?
Imagine this: a challenge run of Monster Hunter where you never touch the ground, or a run where you DON'T use wirebugs
Kurtis Leung
Hace 2 meses
The second challenge is literally the older games, so I think that’s doable
Sunbro Solaire
Hace 3 meses
You’d fail the first challenge immediately. It’s just COMPLETELY impossible no matter what. The second one will probably be difficult, but aside from some sort of tutorial section, it seems doable, judging by the layout of the Shrine Ruins.
really can't think of a username right now sorry
Hace 3 meses
One of these is much more doable than the other
. . . does whatever a spider can.
Insect glaive and long sword got a WHOLE LOT more stupid with the wire bug addition. If mounting is the same we’ll be mount gods in Rise
What an ugly running annimation, he looks floating with that rigid hips, no acceleration on the steps, like a rolling ball
Very much appreciated I played the demo and was doing fine without it but this will make me even better haha
Im getting the hang of the wirebugs, its soooooo freaken fun.
Destroyed Switch Axe and Gunlunace control from classic to casual worlds crap.
Insect Glaive main. I guess I'll stick with World
Cries in insect glaive
Basically new aerial style from generations aka my fave playstyle.
PLEASE port older the games (specifically Freedom, Freedom Unite, 3 Ultimate, and 4 Ultimate) to the Switch/pc/modern platforms? With the popularity of the series now there are so many newer fans who want to go back to those classic games and experience the history of the franchise! Unfortunately, the more time that passes by the harder it is for people to access to beloved titles. There is an audience for those old titles and we want to support you guys!
Yeah this version of the Hunter for smash please 😊
Top wirebug tutorial
Area is huge but i don't see life. Please put some natural animal. Just simple animal like deer, monkey and anything else.

Haha. This is set in the old world
Honestly, I see the demo as a way to train in order to get good at the wirebug
The mobility added with this mechanic has finally gotten me into the MH series! I haven't really enjoyed any of the other games I've tried (maybe because I got bored with the long tutorials and limited mobility), but trying out this demo with my bro has finally convinced me to get this game!

The way it is going, it will be just Silksong. It is its own game. 🙄
4:59 i see ZL+ X/A for Blademaster weapons, well my favorite Monster Hunter weapons are the dual Swords and the Hammer, need to keep in mind when i play the game.
Ok I tried and tried but I cant change direction while wall running. How do I do that?
It would of been nice if this tutorial had been in the actual demo.

Do the basic training quest :/
Hunter: Wirebugs to get an aerial hit. Monster: Giant back hitbox that doesn't even connects hits hunter. Hunter: ?
No matter how long I use Nintendo products I’m never going know which ones are the fucking zed and non zed buttons

Its coming out in the summer
Monsters are designed around this mechanic, unlike Generations styles which had you mostly fighting old copy pasted monsters, making you OP against the old roster. Mizu for example has a very fast 720 degree water beam attack that is very hard to dodge if you don't use the wirebug to go to the air. Awesome stuff, can't wait to see how they adapt other monsters to this game.
As an IG user ZL + X always overshoot and miss the target. great for running away tho. lol
I really hope the leaks about this game coming to PC are true.

@really can't think of a username right now sorry Fr what I've been hearing it's supposed to be October. That's fine with me. I still have yet to do Safijiva stuff in Iceborne. Been super busy with work. That will give me time.

Thanks I think this is much clearer than the in-game tutorial

No, this is a parody channel.
Capcom when they play both Ps4 Spider-men games.
Oh you just press A to swing. Everything else needing ZL to be held down threw me off. Back to training for me! Lol.
BloodLegaZ
Hace 2 meses
@L. Townsend based on the demo. Wirebugs recover when the bug is not in use, so not during swings, and stamina recovers when your not performing stamina actions, so holding a and hanging will recover stamina.
L. Townsend
Hace 2 meses
I believe wire bugs recover while you swing. Maybe you endurance recovers as well. That would be so awesome if it did.
They need to put these kind of tutorial in-game instead of a full page of texts. A lot of my friend gave up because it hard to learn :(
Can we get a RWBY Collab in the future?
This mechanic breaks the game. This isn't Monster Hunter anymore... :(
Sunbro Solaire
Hace 3 meses
This IS Monster Hunter my dude. And if you actually tested it out in the demo, you would know that actually bringing a monster all the way to another monster and successfully staying on your monster long enough to do good damage isn’t actually as easy as it sounds, and the amount of aerial damage it takes to ride in the first place is pretty high against stronger monsters like Mizutsune.
QuantizedAnson MH
Hace 3 meses
If that's true, you should say the same thing to Adept and Valor in MHGen/MHGU. And Clutch Claw in MHWi as well, wallbangs are so cheesy lol Stay calm and give it some time and see how it works out
This title did insect glaives dirty. When the glaives were introduced they were the king of monster mounting. Later titles gave other weapons changes to make it easier, but still couldn't quite compete with the glaive. Now the only thing the insect glaive has going for it is the kinsect itself. All the weapons in this game get some cool new skill with "silkbind" like the sword and shield's whirlwind like attack (forgot the name) or the hunting horn's tether that effectively turns all it's attacks to targeted ranged attacks. Insect Glaive got jump button #2 and call Kinsect back button #2. As an Insect Glaive main, I am seriously considering skipping this title because of this.

You can never know, maybe they will adjust IG slightly in other aspects. It's the “portable team” ( Ichinose's direction ) after all, they're great at balancing the game. Just stay calm and watch more videos as the game releases, maybe IG won't be as bad as you said it is, who knows?
Will want all Console Ur fans every where in all Console lol 😂
The intro gave me goosebumps. So high up and I'm scared of heights.
After a few month of the game released, MH will be updated to include a monster with an AOE ground attack.

So will this game be like monster hunter world? I’m new and can’t tell if it’s gonna be like it.

Very useful, i am someone going from GU on switch to rise and so many new mechanics. Demo is amazing and love the mass of changes but pressing different buttons doesnt always teach us how to use this kind of thing. =') thank you for posting this !
This verticality is absolutely bonkers
Anyone know what the background music is called or for? Like is it the MH Rise main theme similar to Stars at or backs for World?
Using these in conjunction with dual blades will be the closest we have to proper AoT combat
God I hope Rise isn't canon

Why though?
gonna take some getting used to, but its just holding one button down while tapping another, literally the second more bare minimum input you can do with a controller outside of tapping two other buttons together.
This is so awesome
What's this guy's youtube ?
It lets you feel like nercylla man
Time to play MHStories 2 early with Wyvern Riding
Your dog fly as hell
Wirefall is gonna be a blessing
Thanks for the info! Hopefully I can remember all this when it arrives!
Finally rathalos will not be such a bitch anymore
